Frederick Hendrik Mondriaan also known as Frits Mondriaan was the uncle of famous artist Piet Mondriaan. He was a house painter until he became an artist in 1885. His work is in the style of the Hague school and are mostly landscapes. He visited his brother Pieter Cornelis Mondriaan often and when he did he helped Piet Mondriaan with his study drawing. Later, in 1905, he also taught Theresa van Raalte.
