Alejandro Casanova (Ale Casanova, Valencia, 1981) is a Spanish visual artist with a strong academic background and an international exhibition practice. He studied Fine Arts at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, where he distinguished himself with an exceptional academic curriculum and was recognized early on for his artistic potential.
After completing his bachelor's degree, Casanova moved to Tenerife, where he furthered his education with doctoral studies and obtained the Diploma of Advanced Studies (DEA). In addition to his academic training, he has received several national and European research grants, as well as various grants and scholarships in the visual arts. This combination of research, theory, and practice forms an important foundation for his artistic work.
Alejandro Casanova presented his first solo exhibition in Valencia in 2005, at the age of only 24. Since then, he has continuously participated in both solo and group exhibitions, where he has further developed and refined his work. His artistic career has been recognized with numerous prizes and awards, underscoring his position within contemporary Spanish art.
Today, Alejandro Casanova is known as a passionate and versatile artist, whose work is characterized by substantive depth, technical mastery, and an ongoing dialogue between research and visual expression. His oeuvre reflects a consistent and ambitious artistic practice that continues to grow within an international context.
