Victoria Kovalenchikova (born 1978, Belarus) is a contemporary artist and gallery owner based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Known for her large-scale mixed-media works, Kovalenchikova creates tactile paintings that merge painting, texture, and sculptural elements. Her practice is deeply inspired by the Earth itself—its landscapes, geological structures, and the invisible networks that connect people, ecosystems, and continents.

Raised in Belarus, she developed an early fascination with natural forms, surfaces, and materials. This interest later evolved into a distinctive artistic language in which layered pigments, mineral textures, and relief-like surfaces play a central role. Rather than depicting landscapes in a traditional sense, Kovalenchikova constructs them: her canvases often resemble fragments of terrain or satellite views of the planet, inviting viewers to experience the Earth as a living, interconnected system.

Working primarily on large formats, she combines acrylics, natural materials, and experimental techniques to build richly textured compositions. The tactile quality of her paintings encourages a physical engagement with the surface, blurring the boundary between painting and object. Themes of environmental awareness, global interdependence, and the fragile balance of nature run throughout her work.

In addition to her artistic practice, Kovalenchikova is active as a gallery owner in Amsterdam, where she supports and promotes contemporary artists. Through both her own work and her curatorial activities, she contributes to an international dialogue about art, ecology, and the relationship between humanity and the planet.
