    In "Learning How to Fix My Bike," part of the "WRAPPED" exhibition curated by NOCK NOCK art at art'otel Amsterdam, Fhatuwani Mukheli paints a father kneeling beside his son, both bent over the same wheel, working out the problem together. In the background, other children pass by against a wide field of orange, going about a day that continues around them. It belongs to a body of work that reflects on Black family life in the South African townships that raised him, where a father's patience was taught in the smallest repairs. The bike may be broken, but the moment it creates between them is the real subject of the painting.
