- Over kunstenaarAbraham Hulk jr., the son of Abraham Hulk senior (London, 1813-1897), was born in London in 1843, he died in 1919. Like his father, he lived in England for the most part of his life and he also traveled to the Netherlands. He lived and worked in London, Nottingham and Dorking (Surrey). He was a highly successful artist between 1876 and 1892. In this period he exhibited at prestigious shows, like the Royal Academy and the Royal Society of British Artists. He was renowned for his oil paintings and water colours of Dutch and British landscapes.
