Willem Noordijk, Schiedam 1887 – 1970 Laren
The painter Willem Frederik Noordijk initially lived and worked in Schiedam, The Hague and from 1919 in Laren and Eemnes. He made trips to France, Spain, England and Italy.
Noordijk was a student of the Akademie v. B.K. in The Hague (1914 – 1917) conducted by Frits Jansen.
He paints, watercolours, draws (pen pastel) and etches landscapes, animals, figures and flowers in an impressionistic style. Noordijk was a member of 'St. Lucas' in Amsterdam.
