- About the artist
Charles Plétincx (2006) is a young, promising artist from Belgium, born on 28 July 2006 in Ukkel. His visual language creates a unique world that depicts life and its paradoxes, a universe in which people, animals and plants come together. Inspired by Aboriginal art, Pierre Alechinsky, Keith Haring and by mythology and symbolism, he weaves stories into his work that are both personal and universal.
Charles Plétincx effortlessly blends figurative expressionism and surrealism. With sculptural brushstrokes and vibrant colours, he creates compositions that are imbued with movement and emotion. As an autodidact, he has developed a unique, intuitive style that is fully at the service of his artistic vision. His paintings tell stories and radiate an energy that feels both serious and festive.
His work is about more than just aesthetics; it invites the viewer to discover the layering of life and the connection between man and nature. Under the title Le Dieu du Stade, he shows the power of art as a means to tell profound stories.
Although his career is still in the making, Charles Plétincx has already shown himself to be an artist with a strong vision and exceptional talent. His work is followed by a growing group of art lovers and collectors, and he is considered one of the most promising artists of his generation.
