Christiane Vleugels was born on March 3, 1963, in Schoten. At a young age, she studied art at the academy in Schoten, after which she studied at SISA and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp.

Vleugels lived and worked in Cologne for six years, where her work was exhibited at the Galerie des Beaux Arts, among other venues. Her paintings have also found international fame, appearing in cities such as Liverpool and Egypt.

She is best known for her photorealistic portraits, distinguished by their technical precision and powerful expressiveness.
