Kent Knowles is an American figurative painter and sculptor. The characters that populate his work are often women in perilous situations, occupying lush terrain.
His most recent interests explore self-preservation and isolation.
Kent lives on the outskirts of Atlanta with his wife and two children and is the Associate Dean of Fine Arts and Foundation Studies at Savannah College of Art and Design. In addition.
