About the artist
LIU Qiang (born Shenmo Zunbao – 1990, Guangzhou) focused on painting after his master's studies at the Guangzhou Academy for Fine Art.
His style is refreshing and unique, making it easily recognisable. In addition to the brush and spatula, he also uses paint from the tube or bottle that he applies directly or with a sprayer to the canvas. This creates 3-D-like structures that really highlight his landscapes.
In addition to this structure, his calm and warm use of color creates beautiful and dreamy flower portraits and landscapes.
He has participated in various exhibitions and won the 'Work Excellence Award' at the Shenzen International Cultural Industry Fair.
