    Groot werk van de meester van de beesten fedor van kregten. Olieverf op doek in de doekmaat 100 bij 70. Maat inclusief handvervaardigde galerielijst is 110 bij 80 cm. Alhoewel het werk wat donker oogt is van kregten hier al mooi aan het spelen met het licht. Dit komt uit zijn vervolgperiode waar de schakeringen lichter van kleur werden.

    Fedor van Kregten, Johannes Aurelius Richard Fedor van Kregten in full, was born on January 16, 1871, in Diever and died on August 8, 1937, in The Hague. He was a Dutch painter best known for his landscapes featuring livestock.

    Van Kregten specialized in rural scenes in which cows, calves, and flocks of sheep play a central role. His paintings depict the Dutch countryside in a calm, balanced composition, with great attention to light, atmosphere, and natural proportions. The animals are not decorative elements, but form an essential part of the landscape.
