    This elegant vase executed in the “Pavots” decor is a beautiful example of Charles Schneider’s craftsmanship under his brand “Le Verre Français.” Le Verre Français is renowned for its high-quality art glass, often characterized by vibrant colors and bold art deco designs.

    The period in which this vase was produced, between 1923 and 1926, was a flourishing era for the Art Deco style, in which Schneider and his team had a significant influence.

    The motif “Pavots” captures the essence of vibrant poppies in full bloom, rendered in bold, captivating colors that command attention. Standing tall and proud, this vase boasts a striking silhouette accentuated by two gracefully applied handles adorning its upper portion, adding a touch of sophistication to its already mesmerizing design

    The vase bears a signature at the lower part of the vase “Le Verre Français.”

    Charles Schneider era un artista del vetro Art Déco, nato a Elzas, in Germania, nel 1881. Successivamente Schneider si trasferì a Nancy, una delle città più importanti della Francia orientale dell'epoca. Nel 1898 Charles Schneider fu assunto dalla vetreria di Daum, nel 1902 suo fratello Ernest lo raggiunse. Mentre Ernest era noto per essere più una figura d'affari, Charles ha scelto di investire nei suoi talenti creativi. Iniziò a seguire corsi di incisione, decorazione, disegno e modellazione, sotto le abili ali di Henri Berger i.a.. Nel 1904 fece domanda all'Ecole des Beaux-Arts di Nancy e successivamente a Parigi. Durante il periodo della sua formazione, iniziò a produrre una serie di statue in bronzo in stile Art Nouveau, tutte firmate 'Ch. Schneider Nancy'. A causa della rarità di queste sculture, gli oggetti possiedono oggi un alto valore. Nel 1906 Charles tenne la sua prima serie di mostre a Parigi. In un certo numero di archivi si può trovare che Schneider era noto per progettare vasi in modo indipendente. Questi sviluppi furono parte del motivo per cui Charles ed Ernest fondarono una propria azienda, dopo aver investito in una piccola fabbrica di vetro a Epinay-Sur-Seine nel 1913, sotto il nome di "Verreries Schneider". Oltre alla produzione dei tipi più comuni di vetrerie da laboratorio e bottiglie per mantenere la propria azienda in funzione finanziaria, hanno iniziato a introdurre la serie di vetrerie che incorporano motivi naturalistici in un nuovo stile Art Nouveau che conosciamo oggi. Schneider morì nel 1953.
