Alexey Kvaratskheliya, born in 1946 in Georgia, is a contemporary painter whose work is characterized by a refined visual language full of symbolism, color and rhythm. His paintings are at the intersection of stylized figuration and poetic abstraction. With a distinctive style of his own, he manages to evoke a world that is both intimate and universal.

Kvaratskheliya uses bright, sometimes almost ethereal colors and flowing lines to depict figures, masks, still lifes and inner landscapes. His characters seem to emerge from a dream world, often surrounded by symbols that refer to memory, identity, spirituality or human connection. The atmosphere in his work is introspective, but never heavy: his canvases exude lightness, freedom and imagination.

His style evokes associations with artists such as Chagall and Picasso, but always translated into a personal and recognizable formal language. Each painting by Kvaratskheliya is like a visual narrative — not a direct storyline, but an emotional composition that invites interpretation.

His work has been exhibited in various places at home and abroad. Over the years, he has developed into a permanent fixture in contemporary painting, with an oeuvre that is widely appreciated by both collectors and art lovers.

Alexey Kvaratskheliya remains active as an artist. His work testifies to a continuous search for a connection between the inner world and visible reality — with the paintbrush as a compass.
