- About the artist
The character of saskia van der made expresses itself through abstract sculptures whose curves bring about a very feminine feel of sensuality.
The nobiltity and the hardness of marble strengthen her will to express only the secret essence of nature always in her mind.
In 1992 she discovers marble sculpting at Carrara in Italy. In 1997 she moves to the south of France and creates her own atelier.
By sculpting the rough blocks of marble in the ‘direct-carving technique’ she creates essentially abstract sculptures.
Exhibits her work since 2002 in France and Europe.
