- About the artist
Frans Bianchi is a Dutch artist born in 1951 in Rotterdam. He studied at the Vrije Academie in Rotterdam and later became the pupil of Piet Middelbeek an artist from Brielle.
Bianchi works with quick lines, which are never fixed or straight, they seem to dance on the canvas. He uses a very bright palette, the colors he uses are not true to nature. His work is full of abstract compositions and he uses several different techniques. Bianchi is a colorist, he uses intense colors to put emotion in his painting.
The subjects of his paintings are lanscapes, especially Dutch landscapes and still life. There is a lot of movement in his paintings.
