Originele tekeningen van Lucien Hirtz, geïnspireerd op het werk van Lucien Levy Dhurmer, in potlood en pen. Deze tekeningen zijn studies voor een geëmailleerde jardinière die Hirtz maakte voor Frederic Boucheron (zie laatste afbeelding). De serie van drie tekeningen waren oorspronkelijk samen naast elkaar ingelijst. Nu zijn de drie tekeningen apart ingelijst. - About the artist
Lucien Hirtz was born on March 16, 1864 in Nancy en Meurthe et Moselle, his father, David Jacques Aron Hirtz was a traveling salesman and then a trader. He studied at the National School of Decorative Arts, his mother was Claire Estelle Hirtz born in 1839, died in 1901.
At the age of 21 in 1885, he joined Falize as a drawing artist, many of his drawings were made by Lucien Falize, but it is difficult to find which drawings in the work are by him. He died on March 31, 1928 - in Paris in the 17th arrondissement, at the age of 64
