- About the artist
Dutch mixed-media artist Geeert, born in 1978 as Geert Kollau, lives and works in Noord-Brabant, a region in the South of The Netherlands where he returned after a hectic period in Amsterdam.
Because Kollau suffers from ADHD he has always been a keen observer of the world around him. From a very young age he was busy defining his own, very recognisable style. Like the Old Masters Kollau uses a lot of symbolism in his work. He forms his artworks on the computer before using traditional methods like oil painting and printmaking to create unique works of art.
His work has been exhibited at many renowned art fairs, including Ouverture Art Basel Miami Beach and RAW Art Fair Rotterdam. Kollau is now an internationally acclaimed artist, from Miami to Amsterdam, from Milan to Hong Kong.
