Johannes Kruysen (Liempde, October 9, 1874 - Eindhoven, October 6, 1938) was a painter of mainly landscapes, portraits and religious scenes.

Being a self-taught artist, he never enjoyed much recognition from art critics during his lifetime. At the end of the nineteenth century, he was one of the painters who painted images that were printed on canvas or on panel according to the patented Peinture Bogaerts process, invented by Henri Bogaerts.

Work that Kruysen himself, according to Frank van Doorn, characterized as "mind-numbing". A museum has opened in Oirschot, called the Kruysenhuis, with work by him and his children Antoon Kruysen (1898-1977) and Maria Kruysen (1899-1988).

He was a member of the Sint Lucas artists' association in Amsterdam.
