Dirk van der Goorbergh was a very skilled craftsman, whose work could compete with that of The Hague silversmiths at that time, by whom he was definitely influenced. However, he often added a personal touch to the rocailles, which were fashionable in The Hague. A tea kettle on stand, made by Dirk van der Goorbergh in 1774, was present at the exhibition Rococo in Nederland, in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam in 2001.

Dirk van der Goorbergh foi um artesão muito habilidoso do século 18, cujo trabalho poderia competir com o dos ourives de Haia da época, por quem ele foi definitivamente influenciado. No entanto, ele costumava adicionar um toque pessoal aos rocailles que estavam na moda em Haia. Uma chaleira no suporte, feita por Dirk van der Goorbergh em 1774, esteve presente na exposição 'Rococo in Nederland', no Rijksmuseum de Amsterdã em 2001.
