Dirk van der Goorbergh was a very skilled craftsman, whose work could compete with that of The Hague silversmiths at that time, by whom he was definitely influenced. However, he often added a personal touch to the rocailles, which were fashionable in The Hague. A tea kettle on stand, made by Dirk van der Goorbergh in 1774, was present at the exhibition Rococo in Nederland, in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam in 2001.

Dirk van der Goorbergh était un artisan très habile du XVIIIe siècle, dont le travail pouvait rivaliser avec celui des orfèvres de La Haye de l'époque, par lesquels il était définitivement influencé. Cependant, il ajoutait souvent une touche personnelle aux rocailles qui étaient à la mode à La Haye. Une bouilloire à thé sur pied, réalisée par Dirk van der Goorbergh en 1774, était présente à l'exposition `` Rococo in Nederland '', au Rijksmuseum d'Amsterdam en 2001.
