About the artist
Christine Fokkelman is a Netherlands-based visual artist, currently living in Rotterdam. She creates colourful, vibrant, otherworldly work (mixed-media) in her own unique way, giving the viewer a sense of something hidden and unknown. Christine Fokkelman is working in painting and collage. She graduated in painting from the Willem de Kooning Academy of Fine Arts in Rotterdam. Christine enjoys transforming the familiar into otherworldly scenes and creates colourful vibrant work in her own unique way, giving the viewer a sense of something hidden and unknown. She just created her latest portrait series in which she tried to capture the unspeakable emotions of the subjects.
