Materiaal geblazen glas - About the artist
Thea Figee (Soest, 1952) has been a visual artist since 1984. She lives and works in Utrecht and has a studio where her paintings and prints are created in mixed graphic techniques. Since 1999 she has also worked with blown glass.
Her greatest source of inspiration for everything is rooted in admiration, respect and care for nature.
The beauty of something small, such as a dragonfly, the layered nature of a ditch full of plants and animals, but also the grandeur of an autumn sky, the power of a wild ocean and the constant movement and change of nature serve as inspiration for her work. This motivates her to create new works of art.
There is a constant interaction between her prints, oil paintings and glass creations.
