    Leo Roth (1914-2002) In 1920, Roth moved to Germany and, in 1933, immigrated to Palestine. He studied at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris and completed frescoes in Italy and France in the 1950s. Roth settled in Tel Aviv, He served as Director of the Art Academy of the Kibbutzim. In 1959, he was awarded the Jordan Valley Prize for Painting. Roth exhibited in the United States, Israel, Mexico, Spain, Holland, Sweden, and Denmark. He died in 2002.

    Roth's work was influenced by Cubism and Chagall. His colorful canvases contain biblical imagery and references to early Israeli pioneer culture.

    Leo Roth (Polônia, 1914 – Israel, 2002) foi um pintor israelense fortemente influenciado pelo cubismo.

    Ele nasceu na Polônia em 1914. Em 1920 mudou-se para a Alemanha e em 1933 emigrou para Israel, onde morou pela primeira vez em Tel Aviv. Então ele se mudou para o Kibbutz Kineret. Eventualmente, ele se mudou para o kibutz Afikim, onde permaneceu até sua morte.

    Estudou arte na École des Beaux Arts em Paris. Em Israel, ele foi o diretor da Kibbutzim Art Academy. Em 1959, ele ganhou o prêmio Jordaan Valley por sua pintura.

    Suas pinturas foram exibidas em Israel, Holanda, México, Espanha, Suécia e Dinamarca.
