  Joop Polder was born in 1939 in The Hague, in The Netherlands. He has degrees from several art academies in Europe and has successfully worked as an artist for many years. Joop Polder gets his inspiration from architecture and from his own dreams. In fact, most of his paintings are the product of his dreams and represent the way he would like to see the world around us. Joop Polder’s paintings are restful and quiet, as a strong contrast to the stress of everyday life. His paintings are filled with trains and trams, for which he has a passion. You could even say that sometimes they behave like human beings. His enormous collection of antique small-scale models reflects this passion.
  
  Joop Polder’s paintings are shown in a select number of galleries and have become part of important international public and private art collections, such as the Gemeentemuseum in The Hague, the private art collection of King Willem-Alexander and Princess Beatrix, and other members of the Dutch Royal family.

  Joop Polder werd in 1939 in Den Haag geboren. Hij heeft diploma's behaald aan verschillende kunstacademies in Europa en heeft vele jaren met succes als kunstenaar gewerkt.

  Joop Polder haalt zijn inspiratie uit architectuur en uit zijn eigen dromen. In feite zijn de meeste van zijn schilderijen het product van zijn dromen en vertegenwoordigen ze de manier waarop hij de wereld om ons heen zou willen zien.

  De schilderijen van Joop Polder zijn rustgevend en stil, als sterk contrast met de stress van het dagelijks leven. Zijn schilderijen zijn gevuld met treinen en trams, waarvoor hij een passie heeft. Je zou zelfs kunnen zeggen dat ze zich soms als mensen gedragen. Zijn enorme collectie antieke kleinschalige modellen weerspiegelt deze passie.

  De schilderijen van Joop Polder worden getoond in een select aantal galerieën en zijn onderdeel geworden van belangrijke internationale publieke en private kunstcollecties, zoals het Gemeentemuseum in Den Haag, de particuliere kunstcollectie van Koning Willem-Alexander en Prinses Beatrix, en andere leden van de Nederlandse koninklijke familie.
