    Theodorus Willebrordus Maria (Theo) Mackaay è uno scultore, pittore e musicista olandese nato a Utrecht il 19 novembre 1950. Tra il 1972 e il 1976 ha studiato alla Gerrit Rietveld Academie di Amsterdam e dal 1977 al 1979 ha frequentato la Rijksacademie van Beeldende Kusten ad Amsterdam. Dal 1980 inizia la sua carriera di pittore e scultore professionista. Il suo lavoro figurativo si ispira a Pablo Picasso, Marino Marini e Ossip Zadkine.

    Nel 1980 disegna il Gouden Kalf, una scultura premiata al Dutch Filmfestival. Mackaay ha avuto varie mostre nei Paesi Bassi e all'estero, tra cui Galerie Morren (Amsterdam, 2015), Carlton Hotel (Cannes, 2015), Amstel Hotel ad Amsterdam (2016). Mackaay è anche un musicista che è stato chitarrista e cantante in varie band.
