Hayo Sol 'the pearl of Pop Art'
Dutch Pop Art artist Hayo Sol is known worldwide for his astonishingly original paintings. Each one is carefully handmade and painted with metallic and acrylic paint, airbrush and original Swarovski crystals on specially designed silk-coated canvas. Exhibitions in Nice have ensured that much of his work has been sold to clients from all over the world holidaying in the South of France and saw his canvases there.
Hayo Sol was born in Amsterdam on January 18, 1970 and inherited a lot of creativity through his parents' DNA. His father was very musical, playing the accordion as a child and later the organ and piano. As a child, his brother could play songs on the piano without any training.
The painting talent comes from her mother's side. Many of her relatives paint, draw and write. Hayo's brother, who is in the air force
flew an F16, now works as a pilot for KLM.
Almost all pop art artists use original images as examples of their canvases. Andy Warhol was one of the first to start this, but he used the techniques of lithography and screen printing.
Hayo wanted to really paint each canvas (in addition to airbrushing the skin) so that each work is an original work of art. To create this original pop art, he spent over a year and a half using multiple techniques and materials.
He wanted to give his paintings a 3D effect, a technique that had never before been used in pop art. When light shines on the canvas, it comes to life and you see the effects created by the different types of paint. painting technique and the original Swarovski crystals.
His inspiration arises as soon as he sees an image that immediately stimulates his creativity. He must immediately in his mind, after seeing
an image, see the end result on canvas.
There must be a 'translation in his head from image to work of art before he even...
work on the canvas has begun. If that inspiration is not there, he simply cannot turn the image in question into a pop art painting.
Several selected, extra-large 'unique' paintings are decorated with 1 carat of pure diamond powder, hand-mixed by Gassan Diamonds with special metal paint Hayo's technique and the use of these delicate materials in combination with his talent and creative inspiration make each piece a three-dimensional painting that only really comes to life when light hits the canvas.
After attending the Amsterdam School of Arts and studying Pop Art while living in New York, Hayo was inspired to create his own sensational style of original, authentic Pop Art.
It took him many years to develop his own unique technique and style, which distinguishes himself from the well-known Pop Art that is already available. And this in an art world where predecessors such as Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein have set the bar extremely high.
Based on the fact that all life in the universe requires sunlight to come alive and survive, this principle was transformed by Hay Sol (his last name means sun in Spanish) into Pop Art that is truly authentic and instantly recognizable as his.
Hayo Sol welcomes the many famous admirers and collectors of his work, such as Prince Albert II of Monaco, former French President Sarkozy and actress Denise Richards.
As an artist, Sol, also known as 'Vincent van Gogh of Pop Art', is inspired by the immortal beauty of legends and icons of style, art and fashion.
But he is also not afraid to expose the dark side of humanity on his canvases. His 'Weltschmerz pieces', more meloncholic, take his work to a new and higher level and allow us to experience his art with the most intense impact possible.
