StartDock & Novus Arte bring artists and entrepreneurs together
Official opening program from May 7–9 at StartDock on the Singel
Amsterdam, May 7, 2026 – StartDock, the vibrant coworking community offering flexible workspaces, offices and meeting rooms, opens its doors to the public for an exclusive art exhibition in collaboration with Novus Arte. The exhibition offers visitors a rare opportunity to experience contemporary art in an environment that is normally only accessible to StartDock members.
StartDock is a community for entrepreneurs, freelancers and independent professionals who work daily on their own ambitions and (creative) projects. Many artists also operate independently and recognize both the challenges and the freedom of entrepreneurship. With this exhibition, StartDock aims to create a platform for this shared reality: a space where entrepreneurs and artists meet, inspire one another and exchange ideas.
By temporarily transforming its workspace into an exhibition environment, StartDock challenges the traditional context of art presentation. Instead of the familiar setting of galleries or museums, artworks are integrated into an active professional environment where creativity, collaboration and daily routines come together.
The exhibition is curated by Novus Arte, an art marketing agency that makes contemporary art more accessible by connecting it to new and unexpected environments. The exhibition features a selection of emerging and established Dutch and international artists, including: Bensink Erichsen (NL/DE), Eelco van Loenen (NL), Ernesto Lemke (NL), Fhatuwani Mukheli (ZA), Justice Mukheli (ZA), Nathalie Bopp (DE) and Willemijn Delfos (NL). Visitors are invited to explore both the artworks and the architectural character of the historic building, creating a layered cultural experience.
“The integration of art into everyday working environments opens up new ways of engaging with it,” says Jasha Berkenbosch, founder of Novus Arte and curator of the exhibition. “By presenting art in a space where people normally work, we create unexpected encounters that can inspire new perspectives.”
In addition to the exhibition, an extensive program will take place, including artist talks, live music and interactive sessions. Several opening moments are scheduled on May 7, 8 and 9.
