Jaap van Praag

Jaap van Praag was a draftsman, painter, watercolourist, lithographer and sculptor. He was born in Antwerp in 1898. He was active in the Netherlands, Belgium and Paris. He was a member of the artist association Vereeniging Sint Lucas and Federatie van Verenigingen van Beroeps Beeldende Kunstenaars, both in Amsterdam. He was the teacher of Jean Lambert Vayssier. He specialized in cityscapes, portraits, and animal paintings. He died in 1969 in Roden, the Netherlands.
