    This colour etch is made using aqua tint and has a bright composition with geometric surfaces in black, green, blue and red, made in 1970. The edition number is 200 and was issued by Cercle Graphique Europeen, whose logo is embossed on the paper.

    Sonia Delaunay was a world-renowned artist of Russian origin, known for her expressive geometric abstraction. In addition to her paintings and graphics, Delaunay designed fabrics, wall coverings, furniture and clothing, including for Metz & Co in Amsterdam.

    Embora Sonia Delaunay tenha nascido em 1885, na Rússia, ela recebeu educação na Alemanha e na França. Após a formatura, ela fez de Paris sua casa, já que a arte moderna vislumbrava temas significativos, não dependentes de representações realistas do mundo. Ela foi uma propagadora primária do orfismo, uma teoria de combinações de cores para alcançar intensidade visual na superfície de uma tela. Delaunay estendeu a exploração visual dessa teoria a uma variedade de campos, como o design têxtil. Sua carreira se estendeu por todo o continente europeu. Delaunay faleceu em 1979.
