    Vellum landscape plaque by Rookwood Pottery, Cincinatti, USA painted by Lorinda Epply in 1912.
    Fully marked with the Rookwood stamp as well as year letter XII for 1912 and the V for the size.

    Lorinda Epply (1874 – 1951) was een Amerikaanse keramist en wever. Ze was professioneel actief in Cincinnati, Ohio. Ze ging naar de Cincinnati Art Academy en Columbia University in New York, waar ze keramiek studeerde.

    Ze werkte van 1904 tot 1948 bij Rookwood Pottery in Cincinnati. Ze creëerde een aantal van Rookwoods meest geïndividualiseerde werk (met William Hentschel) in de late jaren 1920 (met anderen bij de pottenbakkerij vond ze nieuwe glazuren en soorten versieringen uit).
