• Over kunstwerk
  This sturdy yet elegant wall clock can be called Arts & Crafts, although it does not come from England. It was designed by Albin Muller and made in a workshop in Germany. The design is entirely based on honest use of materials, beautiful lines and perfect proportions. It is an example of design as we have come to know it in the course of the twentieth century. There are also table models of this clock, but a wall model is not known. It is a very rare piece of early Art Nouveau of exceptional quality. The clockwork has been completely overhauled and runs perfectly.
• Over kunstenaar

  Albin Camillo Müller (13 december 1871 - 2 oktober 1941), was een Duitse architect en ontwerper actief in Darmstadt. In 1906 werd hij aangesteld in de Darmstadt Artists' Colony, waar hij na de dood van Joseph Maria Olbrich (1908) de leidende architect werd. In 1907 werd hij benoemd tot hoogleraar en van 1907 tot 1911 gaf hij les in toegepaste kunst. In 1918 werd Albinmüller samen met Kasimir Edschmid benoemd tot voorzitter van de nieuw opgerichte Kunstraad in Darmstadt. In 1926 werd Müller benoemd tot architect van de Deutsche Theaterausstellung in Maagdenburg. In 1934 richtte hij zich op de landschapsschilderkunst en werkte hij ook als schrijver.
