P-A Sandström
Biografie1970 -
Over de kunstenaar
P-A Sandström (1970, Sweden) studied ceramic art at Hellidens Folkhögskola in Tidaholm, Sweden and established his own practice as an independent artist over twenty years ago. Roughly ten years later he started with raku-firing bringing his sculptural work to a new level.
P-A is best known for his ceramic faces and heads, combining traditional clay techniques with raku-firing using a touch of colourful glazes. The larger works are often presented on free standing pedestals, his smaller works are mostly mounted on a wall-hanging support. Typically, these sculptures radiate an atmosphere of calmness, peace and inner strength. The artist’s objective is to create works of art that are filled with positive and good feelings.
The work of P-A Sandström has been exhibited widely in Europe and the USA and is part of numerous private and corporate collections.
