Maarten Rots

Maarten Rots is a Dutch photographer who was born in Aalten in 1982. He lives and works in Diemen. In 2010 he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. His photography borders on abstraction and reflects his fascination with geometrical shapes in architecture. In 2011 Rots was artist-in-residence at BERM Ateliers in Amsterdam. Rots has had various exhibitions in the Netherlands and abroad, among others This Art Fair (Amsterdam), AAF Hamburg (Hamburg, Germany), Kobe Biennale 2011 (Kobe, Japan), VideoMinuto (Florence, Italy).
