Irene Veltman

Irene Veltman is a Dutch artist who was born in Harlingen in 1991. She currently lives and works in Harlingen. She graduated with a bachelor of fine arts at the Academie Minerva in Groningen in 2013. Veltman has also studied at the Florence Academy of Art in 2014. She creates paintings and drawings in a highly naturalistic style. Among her subjects are animals, portraits, still lifes and nudes. Veltman’s work flirts with surrealism and death at times. She has had various exhibitions in the Netherlands, including Amsterdam, Sneek, Harlingen, Lisse, Nijmegen, Franeker.
