Edvardas Racevicius (1974, Klaipeda, Lithuania) is a Lithuanian artist, who creates wood sculptures. From 1982 to 1992 he attended the Eduardas Balsys (Eduardo Balsio) Gymnasium of Arts in Klepaida, a school for primary, secondary and art education for pupils aged 6-19. From 1991 to 1992 he took lessons from the sculptor Vilius Orvydas. Subsequently, he studied theology at the seminary Telšiai (1992-1995) and theology and social pedagogy at the University of Vilnius (1995-1997). From 1997 onwards Racevicius has been active as a sculptor in Lithuania. In 2002 he moved to Germany and lives and works since then in Greifswald. Since 2002 he had many exhibitions. To mention just a few: (solo shows) Lithuanian Ambassy in Germany, Berlin (2014), Dub Galerie, Pelchrimov, Czech Republic (2016), Galerie STP, Greifswald, Germany (2016); (group exhibitions) Galerie Atelier Alen, München, Deutschland (2016), Gallery Casa Cuadrada, Bogotá, Colombia (2016), Galleri V58, Aarhus, Denmark (2016).
