  • A proposito di opere d'arte
Beautiful art deco duck, designed by Hersent, and executed by Marcel Guillard (Fr. 1896-1932) for Etling Paris. Marcel Guillard was a ceramist at Etling Paris. He had his own studio, where he also collaborated with various artists, such as Alexandre Kelety, Le Jan, André Fau, Gaston Debaize, Genevieve Granger, Armand Godard, Guiraud-Rivièra, Claire Colinet and others. Most of them were sculptors who had previously had their work published by Etling Paris. Unfortunately Marcel Guillard passed away at a young age.

In addition to being beautifully stylized, this duck is also very beautifully glazed. The duck has the soft undertones of yellow and blue/grey, over that is an overglaze in blue, yellow and even some red speckles.

The duck is extensively signed on the underside with various stamps printed in the wet clay, such as: "Hersent", "Marcel Guillard", Édition Etling, Paris" and "France". The remains of an old label can also be found.
