- About the artist
Reinder Ourensma (1952) is a Dutch artist who lives and works in Leeuwarden, The Netherlands. He studied at the Minerva Academie (State Academy of Fine Arts) in Groningen, where he began creating figurative paintings. There, he was inspired by teachers Wout Muller and Ger Siks. While working as an arts and crafts teacher from 1972, he devoted himself to free painting in his spare time. Since 2014, Reinder has been working as a full-time painter. He is specialised in pristine, rugged and quiet Irish landscapes.
