  • About the artist

I am a country boy and always have been. My father was a cattle dealer and horse breeder. I loved horses. I took care of them and rode them. As a result, I got to know the horses well, both anatomically and in terms of character. I unknowingly saved this.

Since I have been working as a sculptor, this animal has been my main theme, certainly in the beginning. The essential, the essential things, to be portrayed. Besides the horse, the bulls and the women are popular subjects for me. The strength, the musculature and the elegance of the woman challenge me to constantly bring out the core of the soul. In my current work I sometimes also make roosters, ibex or a ram. They are animals that radiate a certain arrogance and strength. That appeals to me.

In addition to my own sculptures, I also like to work on commission. It is important for an assignment that it challenges me. This is possible because the theme and/or the choice of materials inspire me. An assignment is always handled in close consultation with the client. Good communication is very important to me. I am only satisfied when the client is satisfied.
