  • About the artist
Roger Hoffman Selchow was born in Greenwich, Connecticut, in 1911. He studied at Columbia University and became known for his paintings of geometric abstraction after his graduation. He evolved his colourful and abstract style of painting after the Second World War, when he absorbed the influences of European Modernism as the Bauhaus, Constructivism and Cubism.

His work is represented as part of the permanent collections of the MOMA in New York, the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Liège, Belgium, and of many more places in the United States and Europe. Selchow passed away in 1994.
