Kylli Sparre is an Estonian photographer, born in 1980 in Tallinn. Initially trained as a professional ballet dancer, it turned out that ballet wasn’t for her. After discovering photography, Sparre took pictures that were digitally manipulated afterwards. Her images are surreal, derived from thoughts and observations. An important source of inspiration in Sparre’s work is ballet. In 2014 Sparre was honoured with the Sony World Photography Award. She has had various exhibitions in Europe among others, This Art Fair (Amsterdam), Art The Hague, Unseen Art Fair (Amsterdam), KunstRai 2014 (Amsterdam), Fotomuuseum “Keset aeglast saladust” (Tallinn), Somerset House, Sony World Photography Award Exhibition (London), Nofound Photo fair Garage Turenne (Paris), Kaunas Photo Festival (Lithuania).
