We may divide the oeuvre of Svetlana into white and black series, each with their own expression and theme, especially with an own psychological depth. Her goal is to have the beholder stand still, to withdraw just for a moment from reality, the here and now and open up for the captured moment of the painting. This 'In the Forest' would be a good example.
