    Gaston Thiesson (1882-1920) lived in France and died at the young age of 38 years. He is known for landscape painting and was, in its time, praised by critics who considered him one of the best post-impressionist artists.
    Thiesson exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants in Paris. He was influenced initially by Sisley and Pissarro and later by Cézanne.
