About the Artist

Georg Braun (also written Brunus or Bruin) was a German top-geographer who lived and worked in Cologne.. He died as an octogenarian in1622, as the only survivor of the Original team. He witnissed the publication of the Volume VI in 1617. The Braun publication - consisting of six volumes - set new standards in cartography for over than 100 years.
