About the ArtistWieland Vogel (1980) graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven, department ‘Man and Living’ in 2007. He graduated with a chandelier called “Aureool a.k.a. Halo’ and Li Edelkoort was his first sale, so that was a good start. An important part of the education is as an intern. Wieland completed his internship at designers Piet Hein Eek and Ted Noten.
He is living in Amsterdam and worked as a freelancer for Maarten Baas, Joost van Bleiswijk and Alexander Pelikan, but most important he is an independant artist and designer.
Wielands storytelling designs are honest, refined and show the beauty of construction. His work answers to an inner necessity to give birth to objects with character.
