Willem Frederick Hulk was a Dutch painter, born in Amsterdam. He was the son and apprentice of Abraham Hulk, who was a well-known Anglo-Dutch marine-painter, draughtsman and lithographer. Willem Frederick Hulk is mainly known for his paintings of landscapes and animals. He worked in Haarlem, Nijkerk and Enkhuizen and then moved to London with his father. In 1882, he settled in Shere (Surrey, England). It is unknown in what exact year hereafter he died.
