About the artist

Sarinda Jones (1971, USA) is an American artist, specialising in glass objects and glass installations with simple patterns. After graduating in Art History from Salt Lake Community College, she studied at the celebrated Pilchuck Glass School and the North Lands Creative Glass in Scotland.

Thereafter she became a professional glass artist and a board member of the Salt Lake Arts Council for Public Art. Repetitive use of similar shapes and colours are important characteristics in her work. She is inspired by celebrated glass artists like Gilles Bettison and Lino Tagliapietra. Her objects are collected internationally but she is also regularly commissioned to create a variety of glass sculptures for private and corporate patrons, including leading international companies. She was a Niche Award finalist in 2010.
