About the artist

Margit De Corini wanted to become an actress and followed the Dramatic School Szidi Rakosi's in Budapest. but after she got married to Baron De Corini she moved to New York. From 1928 she worked in Paris for 15 years as an artist. In 1931 she began to exhibit in Paris with the greatest artists of that time. The French press called her the "Painter of the Night". She frequently exhibited in Budapest as well. After 1945 she returned to her home country Hungary and settled in Budapest. In 1952 she left the capital, and moved to Gyomán.
