Frans de Beul (1849, Dendermonde – 1919, Schaarbeek, Brussels) was a Belgian painter. He was the brother of painter Henri de Beul (1845-1900). Frans studied under Ferdinand Willaert at the Koninklijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten (Academy of Fine Arts) in Dendermonde (Belgium) and at the Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts (Academy of Fine Arts) in Brussels. De Beul mainly painted rural life and animals around the farm and was influenced in his style by the Barbizon School. He participated in several exhibitions, among others in Brussels, Berlin, London, Paris, New York and San Francisco.
