About the artist

Firouz Farman-Famaian is a contemporary Iranian artist who was born in Teheran in 1973. After the Islamic Revolution, he fled to Paris where he studied architecture and visual arts. In this period he developed himself as a mixed media artist, working with various media, including paint, print, sculpture, film and music. He also creates installations and performances. Important subjects in his work are nature, architectonics and the interplay between realism and abstraction. He has had various exhibitions worldwide including, Panorama group exhibit, GRK Gallery (Paris, France), Solo show, RH Modern Seattle (USA), Solo show, Galeria Maior Momentary Meditations (Mallorca, Spain), Niavaran Cultural Centre, Magic of Persia Foundation (Tehran, Iran), Iranian Heritage Foundation Auction (London, UK), Scope – Janet Rady Fine Arts, Art Basel, (Basel, Switzerland), Magic of Persia Foundation, Remembering Tomorrow Touring Exhibit & Auction (Dubai, United Arabic Emirates).
