About the artist

Adib Fattal was born in 1962 in Washington D.C. As the son of a Syrian diplomat, he spent his life in Europe, the US and the Middle East. He graduated with a BBA in International Marketing from the City University of New York. He started his career in the field of business and banking but soon abandoned it to dedicate his life to graphic art. Since 2001, Adib has exhibited his work in the Middle East (Syria, Egypt, Lebanon, Bahrain and the UAE); in Europe (Poland, the United Kingdom, Germany, Holland and Belgium) and the United States of America (Washington DC, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania). He has also exhibited in Canada and Pakistan. Adib's work has been cited in INSITA (2010), by the International Exhibition of Self-Taught Art, produced by the Slovak National Gallery and chosen by an international jury. Adib lives on a farm in Syria at the foot of Mount Hermon where he paints, farms and looks after his family, which includes his baby son, Dia, his dog, cat and a clever parrot.
